The Queen is keenly interested in this exhibition and a special private view is always arranged for her when she buys many of the exhibits for gifts and notices with pleasure the paintings that Lady Patricia Ramsay sends and often the lacquer work by Princess Marie Louise. The Queen also lends treasures from her vast collections to the Loan Exhibition, the period of which for the 1930 exhibition has not yet been finally decided. Among the constant exhibitors are Mr Ernest Thesiger, who not only does tapestry but paints on glass. Lady Cory, whose tapestry pictures are famous, the Duchess of Buckingham and Chandos, who sends water-colours done from her carriage while on country visits, and Lady Susan Birch, who makes shell flowers.
