TIMARU—THURSDAY, JULY 10. (BefTOe Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M.) BY-LAW CASES. For leaving a horse and trap In Stafford Street for a period longer than that prescribed by the Borough by-laws, David Nicol was fined 5/-, with costs 10/-. Margaret Palmer Chapman, for leaving a motor car on King George's Place within 30ft. of the building line of such street, was fined 5/-, without costs. INFECTED SHEEP. . George Acton, for exposing lice infected sheep in the Pleasant Point saleyards on June 26th, was fined £1 10s. with costs 10/-. For a similar offence John Bray was fined £1 10s, with costs 10/-. MAINTENANCE. Mr W. D. Campbell on behalf of a young woman applied for an affiliation and maintenance order against a resident of Otaio (Mr Rolleston) for the support of a child. After hearing lengthy evidence and legal argument by counsel, thfi Magistrate intimated that he would take I time to consider his decision.
