WAIKATO DIOCESE
FINANCIAL POSITION IMPROVING By Telegraph—Press Association HAMILTON, July 8. The annual Waikato Diocesan Synod opened with a service in St. Peter’s Cathedral. Archdeacon G. G. Bell, VicarGeneral, delivered the charge, in the absence of Bishop Cherrington, at the Lambeth Conference. Archdeacon Bell said the financial position of the diocese showed slight improvement, but he drew attention to the need for adjustment of endowments in Auckland Diocese to provide a fair, share for Waikato, which was separated from Auckland five years ago.
