BOXING.
WIN FOR DONOVAN. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. July 8. Tommy Donovan (Waitara), outpointed t Bert Osborne, a 19-year-old boxer from Melbourne, in practically every one of fifteen rounds, in a crowded Town Hall to-night. Osborne’s best asset was an effective smother, which, however, he employed so frequently that a section of the crowd started to count the boxers out towards the close, and the referee advised Osborne to put a bit more ginger into his work. Osborne was a pound heavier than Donovan.
