VETERINARY ASSOCIATION.
OFFICERS ELECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 1. The election of officers at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Veterinary Association resulted as follows:—President, Dr. C. J. Reakes; vice-president, Mr A. M. Brodie; Council, Messrs. J. Lyons, J. Kerrigan, and H. S. S. Kyle; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr C. S. M. Hopkirk; auditor Mr L. Scott. The annual report stated that the membership had increased by three, one member having left during the year for Uganda. Correspondence had been carried on with laymen using misleading titles, and in all cases except one the wishes of the Council had been observed. The case which was an exception was put in the hands of the police, but the man disappeared before action could be taken.
