NIGHT CLUBS.
ARREST OF MRS MEYRICK. (United Frets Association—By Bloctrie Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, June 29. Mrs Meyrick, the Night Club Queen, did not reign long over the night clubs after her release from gaol. The police raided the 43 Club in the early morning and Mrs Meyrick left in tears by private motor car, but a warrant for her arrest followed. The police asked for substantial bail, as it was discovered that she had applied for a passport to France. She was released on bail of £2OOO.
Mrs Kate Evelyn Meyrick and Luigi Achille Ribuffi were each sentenced to fifteen months’ imprisonment for bribing Police Sergeant Goddard.
