THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate, north-east prevailing; weather fair. Dominion Meteorologist. A slight anti-cyclone is crossing northern New Zealand. A shallow cyclone is still west of the South Island. Expect winds variable and chiefly moderate, south-easterly to north-easterly prevailing. Seas rather rough about Cook Strait and South of Castle Point; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Weather cloudy and in places misty, with scattered rain, more especially in the North Island and in Canterbury and Marlborough. Temperatures cold in and south of Cook Strait, but moderate thence northwards,.
