Because of pressure of his own business, failing health, frequent absence. or lack of experience in the difficult duties of trusteeship, a private trustee may desire to be relieved from his burden of responsibility. This may be accomplished, with satisfaction to himself, and with advantage to the beneficiaries in the estate, by transferring his trust to the Public Trustee. A private trustee retiring in favour of the Public Trustee may be retained as an advisory trustee, if he so desires.
