AUSTRALIANS AND THE KING.
ANSWERS TO LETTERS OF PROTEST. (United Press Association—By Electric T el egraph—Copyright.) (Received June 20, 12.5 a.m.) LONDON, June 19. As the result of the newspapers publishing photographs of the Australian cricketers wearing their hats whilst conversing with Royalties, Mr Kelly and Mr Woodfull have received letters of protest from many quarters. Mr Kelly requests the Australian Press to state that the players retained their hats at the King’s request. Prior to the introduction, Richard-, son, from his bedroom in the hotel, telephoned to his wife, son and brother in Adelaide.
