OCIAL NOTES.

Mrs Jackson, Beverley House, is on a visit to Christchurch. Mr and Mrs H. H. Fisher. Albury, are visitors to Timaru for the races. Mr J. E. Henrys, Wellington, is staying at the Grand for the races. Mr L. Jenkinson (Auckland) arrived at the Grand for a brief visit to Timaru. Mrs W. W. de Castro, Blenheim, is spending a few days at the Grand Hotel. Mr and Mrs Harold Bradley, Christchurch, motored to the Grand from Dunedin yesterday. Mr Kenneth L. Pratt, who was staying at the Grand, has left for Southland. Mrs F. A. Jarrett, Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs C. S. Young, Craighead Street. Mr and Mrs Donald Grant, Elloughton Grange, left yesterday on a trip to Sydney. Mrs A. Lawrence Gee, Beverley House, Wai-iti Road, is on a visit to Wellington. Mrs Denton-Leech, Dunedin, who is the guest of Mrs P. B. Benham, Pleasant Point, will return south today. Mrs Esmond Goodwin, “Eversley,” Fairlie, who is the guest of Mrs G. Wright, Beverley Road, will return home to-day. Mr and Mrs J. Mowbray Tripp, “Silverton,” Woodbury, will arrive today to stay with Mrs A. Hope, Tumanako, for the races. Mr and Mrs J. Goldie and Miss Betty Goldie, “Ardgour,” Park Lane, who have been on a visit to Christchurch, returned home yesterday. Mr and Mrs J. Mullin, who are at present on a visit to England, will leave in August for Brittany, returning later for a motor tour through England before leaving for New Zealand in January.
