KING’S BIRTHDAY.

MESSAGE FROM DOMINION. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 2. The Governor-General (Lord Bledisloe). has forwarded the following message for submission to the King, on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday:— “I beg to tender to Your Majesty the loyal and most respectful good wishes of the Government and people of New Zealand on the occasion o! Your Majesty’s birthday, and renewed assurance of unfailing devotion to the throne of Your Majesty’s subjects in this Dominion. We rejoice in the tidings of your improved health.” Birthday Honours. An announcement has been issued b the Governor-General to the effect that the King has been graciously pleased on the occasion of his birthday, to confer the following honours upon the gentlemen named:— Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.), Thomas Mason Wilford, K.C., High Commissioner fo. New Zealand, in London. Knight Bachelor, Alfred Seymour Bankars, M.8.E., of Auckland. Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael ana St. George (C.M.G.), Robert Albert Anderson, o: Invercargill; and Paul Desire Nestor Vershaffelt, Public Service Commissioner.
