BAPTIST CLUB. On Saturday the Timft.ru Baptist Harrier Club entertained the Timaru Harriers at an enjoyable run. The trail was laid by Selwood (Timaru) and Keeley (Baptist),' and proceeded along north Street and Otipua Road down the Fairview Road, across country to the reservoir and through the quarry for some distance. The trail then led home along Church Street. A good seven miles was covered, and on account of the rough going in some places, many runners lost the paper. The results were:— Fast pack—Eaton (Timaru) 1, Lane (Timaru) 2, Harper (Timaru) 3. Slow pack—Hetherington (Timaru) 1. Koller (Baptist) 2, O’Leary (Timaru) 3. METHODIST AND PRESBYTERIAN CLUBS. Presbyterian harriers were the hosts of Methodist harriers on Saturday afternoon at Trinity Hall, when twenty-two runners turned out, the Clubs being represented as follows: — Methodist 15, Presbyterian 7. The trail, which was laid by N. Rose and- R. Metson, went by road to the railway cutting, round Saltwater Creek lagoon, across paddocks to Jack’s Point and home via beach, paddock and road. The course proved to be very strenuous, the following being the results:— Fast'Pack—R. Lund (Methodist) 1; E. Wilson (Methodist) 2; H. Cullimore (Methodist) 3. Medium Pack—B. Killoh (Presbyterian) 1. S. Hurdley (Methodist) 2, H. Henry (Methodist) 3. I The runners were then entertained to afternoon tea by the ladies of the church-, and a hearty welcome to the visitors was extended by Messrs McDonald and Dennison, who also thanked the ladies for the tea. R. Nelson replied on behalf of the Methodist Club, thanking everyone concerned for the way in which they had been entertained.

Next Saturday, Methodist ' Harriers will hold their novice race from the residence of Mr J. Simmons, Kingsdown, when a very large entry is anticipated. Cars will leave the Woodlands Street Hall at 2 p m. next Saturday.
