Joseph Dufty, a well-known professional wrestler, was fatally shot at 7.30 this evening, while conducting a shooting gallery at the Waikato Winter Show. At an inquest held to-day on Henry Marshall Kelly, a Maori, who was found dead at Tawhata on Saturday with a bullet wound in the forehead, a pea rifle having been found lying across the body, the Coroner returned a verdict of suicide. Deceased left a letter intimating that he was tired of life, and intended taking his troubles to an unknown world. MOTOR-CYCLIST KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, June 2. A shocking tragedy occurred at the Kelvin Grove crossing this morning, when a motor-cyclist, whose name is not yet known, ran into the northbound daylight Limited express, and was killed instantly. The body was frightfully mutilated. Apparently deceased sighted the train when 50 feet from the line. The brakes failed to arrest his momentum, and the cycle struck the engine, the rider being whirled round the wheels.
