SOCIAL NOTES.

Miss Greta Paterson, Sefton Street,, will leave to-day for Dunedin. Mrs K. McLennan' and Miss F. MacLean, Heriot, Central Otago, are the guests of Mrs J. Scott, Cannington.

Mr and Mrs A. Gillies and Miss May Gillies, Dunedin, have returned from a visit to The Hermitage, Mt. Cook.

Misses Eileen and Monica McGrath, Rhodes Street, are on a visit to Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs A. Guild, Strathearn, Temuka, will leave to-morrow on a visit to Dunedin.

Mr and Mrs W. Bailey, Christchurch, left on Saturday on a visit to Dunedin.

Mrs Parsons, St. Ives, Grey Road, has returned from a visit to Invercargill.

Major and Mrs Walpole, Geraldine, who are staying at Cadogan, Sefton Street, will return home to-day. Mrs Derrick, Christchurch, is spending a few days with Mrs A. S. Elworthy, Holme Station. Mrs Edgar Jones and Miss Joyce Jones, Otiritiri, are staying with Mr G. Jones, Waiau.

Miss Loo Cartwright, Orbell Street, who is the guest of Mrs C. L. Orbell, Pentlow, will leave to-day to stay with Mrs P. R. Woodhouse, Bluecliffs. Mrs W. H. Walton and Miss Dorothy Walton, Park Lane, who have been on a visit to Christchurch, returned home on Saturday.

Mrs John Barker and her children,, Four Peaks, who took a house in Christchurch for the holidays, returned home on Saturday.

Mrs D. C. Macfarlane, Mount Peel, North Canterbury, arrived on Friday, to spend a few days with Mrs W. F. Ritchie, Te Tawa.
