In the third round of the Davis Cup match, played at Scheveningen, Timmer (Holland) beat Kozeluh (Czechoslovakia), 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. Menzel (Czechoslovakia) beat Diemerkool, 6-2, 6-3, 6-2. Kozeluh and Menzel (Czechoslovakia) tjeat .Timmer and Diemerkool (Holland). 1-9, 6-2, 6-1.
