MART REPORTS.

THE RIALTO. H. Allchurch and Co. report for the tveek ended May 24th:— At our sale on Friday. we had a large entry of poultry and pigs. Prices for poultry eased slightly. Good table potatoes are arriving in larger quantities, and practically free from blight. Onions have hardened, and a further rise is anticipated. Whole fowl w’heat is in good demand. Large supples of dessert apples and pears arrived from Nelson and Central Otago, but good lines of cooking apples are scarce. Cabbage cauliflower, etc., are in good supply. Supplies of eggs are increasing, and prices are inclined to ease. The following are the prices realised:— Poultry.—Hens 2 3 to 3/3, cockerels 3/0 to 5 6. small 2/6 to 3/-; roosters to 4 3. ducks - to 4 6 pair. Pigs.—Weaners 13/6. 14/-, 15/-, 16/-, slip.'; 18 - each. Produce. —Wheat whole 22/6, broken 17/-, potatoes 2 6 to 12/- bag. onions 5/- cental, parsnips carrots 2/6, swedes 1 6 sugar bag; onions 1/6 box, cauliflower 4 - to 6/-. cabbage 1/- to 2 6 dozen, marrow's id to lid lb. pumpkins to Hd lb. squash pumpkin to 2d lb. Fruit. —Apples, dessert 4 6 to 8 '6. cookers 5 6 to 7/-, pears to 6 - case; dessert apples and pears sold in half cases at 2/6 to 3/6, walnuts 9d to lOd lb. Island oranges to 25case. Eggs.—Supplies are increasing. The price at the end of the week was 2/4 dozen. Preserved eggs are now being inquired for. and a few’ lines have been placed at 1/6 dozen. Furniture and Effects.—We disposed of a fair quantity of furniture on Friday. We also cleared several lines during the w’eek. 150 sheets of iron were sold at 1/9 to 1/U sheet.
