BIG BOUTS IN UNITED STATES. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received May 29. 8.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 28. La Barba, former fly-weight champion (1241 b). outpointed Graham (125£1b) in a ten round bout. La Barba won easily against his veteran opponent. The winner is regarded in line to meet Chocolate for the featherweight championship. In a preliminary to the above fight, Dundee (1511 b) ex-welter weight champion, outpointed Parry Mason (1501 b), of England, in ten rounds. A report from Indianiapolis states that Cook (1901 b), won a ten rounds’ decision over Wiggins (1971 b), showing superiority throughout, although both clinched considerably and wasted a good deal of time over ineffectual body blows. Cook seemed to allow Wiggins to hang on until the tenth, when he opened up and gave Wiggins a terrific beating. A Chicago message states that Von Porat knocked out Gagnon, in the sixth of a scheduled ten-round bout. The winner, despite a slow start, completely crushed Gagnon with heavy rights. He took a thoroughly impressive victory.
