Messrs Morton and Co. report for tin week ended April 26. as follows: Friday being a holiday, our weekl; sale was held on Wednesday, when i light entry of furniture and poultr; was disposed of. Firm lines of Winter Colei however, were in demand. Apple were very plentiful and prices were a a low level. Vegetables were in fai demand, and good supplies were for ward. Eggs were scarce and the pric was firm at last week’s quotations. Prices realised were:— Apples.—Dessert 5 - to 12/6, cooker 3//- to 6/-, pears, ripe dessert 1 - t 3/- case, firm Winter Cole 4/- to 7/ case, passion fruit 7/- case, hothous tomatoes sid to 9id lb. outdoor toma toes lid to Bid lb. green tomatoes 1/ to 3/- case, grapes l/'3i to l/4£ It Samoan bananas to 26/6 case, Niue bananas to 20/6, Californian oranges t 50/-, Californian lemons to 50/- casi grape fruit to 45/- case, walnuts to 10 lb, kumeras to 6/- case, cauliflower 5/ i sack, cabbage 1/- to 2/- dozen, mai rows 6 - to 8/- sack, pumpkins 4/- t 7/- sack, green peas lid to 2id 1] carrots 2/6 to 3/- kit, onions 5/6 cer tal, potatoes 5/- to 6/6 cental, fow! wheat 22/6 sack, straw 3/- bale, cha 5/- to 7/3 sack, fresh eggs 2 6 dozen. Poultry.—Hens 2- to 4/6 pair, duel 4/-. to 5/- pair, cockerels to 6/- pair.
