Massacre By Bandits.

RESIDENTS MOWED DOWN IN STREETS. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) SHANGHAI, April 28. Reports received by local Chinese authorities reveal terrible massacre at the City of Kingscuen, North Kiangsu, on Saturday, when more than 1000 were slaughtered, and a similar number captured by bandits. The city was razed. The brigands, equipped with twenty machine guns, destroyed the city, driving the residents to the streets, where they were mowed down with rifles and machine guns. Officials were captured and publicly butchered. Every establishment was looted, the bandits setting fire to the town before departure. Troops are being despatched to pursue the looters.
