CHILD FATALLY BURNED. By Telegraph—Preaa AaaoeiaUes. AUCKLAND, April 28. Norma Wilson (4), of Grey Lynn, was admitted to hospital early this morning, suffering from severe bums. She succumbed to her injuries at 1 p.m. The girl, who was an only child, lit a candle to look at a book in bed, and went to sleep leaving the caridle burning. Her parents heard screams, and found that the child’s bedding and nightdress were in flames. COLLISION WITH WANDERING* HORSE. By Telegraph—Press Association. OAMARU, April 28. At an early hour this morning a motor-cyclist named Alfred Watt, of Hyde, collided with a stray horse on the road near Herbert, and was thrown heavily. He received grave head injuries, and was removed to the Oamaru hospital, where he lies dangerously ill and unconscious.
