JOCKEY’S APPEAL SUCCEED^. By Telegraph -Prea* Aamcation. AUCKLAND, April 25. An appeal by H. N. Wiggins, a jockey, against a six months’ suspension imposed by the Judicial Committee of the Auckland Racing Club on Monday, was considered by the Auckland District Committee last night. The Committee decided to uphold the appeal on the ground that the evidence was not sufficiently strong to justify the decision of the Judicial Committee. Wiggins accordingly will be riding at Avondale to-morrow. SIR GEO-TGE CLIFFORD’S HORSES. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 25. Before his death Sir George Clifford expressed a wish that his racing stable should be carried on, and no break is likely to occur. The executors will control the horses meantime. Later Sir Charles Clifford will carry on as an owner, under the old conditions, the horses being trained by H. and A. Cutts, at Chokebore Lodge. STREPHON NOT PLEASING. (United Press Association—By JWectrU Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 25, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. April 24. Strephon has been scratched for the Kempton Park Jubilee Stakes. His owner, Mr Sol Green, says the horse has not made such good progress as was expected. He is feeling the cold, and it is doubtful if he will run in the Ascot Gold Cup. Totalisator at Newmarket. The automatic totalisator was definitely established yesterday at Newmarket, which is the headquarters of the English turf. The investments were £12,000, but a big turnover is expected on such events as the Two Thousand Guineas, the Cesarewitch, and the Cambridgeshire Stakes.
