PRISON FIRE.
STRANGE IRONY OF FATE. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) NEW YORK, April 23. By some irony of fate all the prisoners awaiting execution in Death Row escaped in the Columbus gaol fire. Twenty-three murderers, who were serving sentences varying from ten years to life imprisonment were killed. The only prisoner to escape from the prison yard during the excitement was a man named Michael, who had been a burglar. He has not yet been recaptured.
