FREE TRADE FOR BRITAIN.
Organising Campaign. LIBERAL-LABOUR ALLIANCE. (United Press Association—By ElectrK Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 9, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 8. Mr Philip Snowden and Mr Lloyd George were among the guests of Mrs Snow'den's second free trade luncheon at Downing Street. According to “The Times,” plans have been drawn up for a free trade campaign throughout the country. It has been arranged to hold a postEaster conference of business men, trade unioners, co-operators and economists, for the purpose of stating their case for free trade under modem conditions, followed by public demonstrations in the leading centres. It is suggested that Mr Snowden and Mr Lloyd George may be seen on the same platform at Albert Hall. Arrangements are being made to open a fund.
