ADMIRAL BYRD.
RECEPTION IN CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph—Pres* Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 7. Rear-Admiral Byrd arrived from Dunedin by express this evening, and went on by the Maori to-night to Wellington. During his short stay in Christchurch, he was tendered a civic reception. Admiral Byrd was accompanied by Messrs W. C. Haines and R. W. Korter, also by his pet fox terrier Igloo, the most travelled dog in the world.
