AUSTRALIA’S NEXT GOVERNORGENERAL. (United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received, April 6, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, April 6. “The Sunday Times” is authoritatively informed that the successor a* Governor-General to Lord Stonehaven, is Sir Isaac Isaacs, who was recently appointed Chief Justice of the High Court. The newspaper adds that it has long been an open secret that the Scullin Government is anxious that the new Governor-General should be an Australian. It has accordingly recommended Sir Isaac Isaacs to the British Government.
