May 20 l'w. Pirie, via ports .. .. June 30 NOTES. The Opihi arrived from the south on Saturday afternoon. She will load general cargo to-day for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. The Storm arrived from Port Chalmers yesterday. To-day she will load for usual northern ports. The Kaimai is expected to arrive today from Westport to discharge coal. From this port she will proceed to Dunedin. The Holmdale should reach this port to-morrow from Dunedin to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Kaponga loads at Dunedin on April 10 for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Nelson, New Plymouth and Westport. The vessel is due at this port on Friday next. The Gale Is set down to arrive at Timaru from southern ports on Thursday to load for Wellington and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Wingatui is expected to arrive here about April 14 to discharge cargo loaded at Auckland. She will then load for Wellington and Auckland, sailing for these ports via Lyttelton. Another arrival on April 14 will be the Calm. She will load general cargo for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. The Kahika loads at Dunedin on April 14 for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton. Napier and Gisborne. The vessel is due here on April 15. Overseas. The Ruapehu is due at Timaru on April 17, to load frozen meat and general cargo for London and the Continent. The Port Napier is due at Timaru on April 19, from Dunedin. She is to load frozen meat and general cargo for London. The City of Lincoln will not arrive at Timaru now until April 17. She is to lead and discharge at this port a quantity of general cargo. The Zealandic completed her loading of frozen meat for Home ports, and sailed on Saturday morning for Nelson. THIRTY-HOURS TOW. GISBORNE. April 5. The motor ship Margaret W. arrived • from Hicks Bay this morning in tow of the Tiroa. the trip taking 30 hours. Sea conditions made the towage difficult, especially when rounding Easy Cape in the face of heavy seas, but the only incident was the snapping the line off Tuahine. near Gisborne. The damage to the motor-ship is limited to the tail-shaft coupling. Temporary repairs will be effected here, and the vessel will proceed to Auckland on Monday. Captain Clark states that the ship was fortunately placed when the mishap occurred, and a breeze from a good quarter facilitated the return to Hick’s Bay. He also spoke highly of Captain Garrett’s handling of the Tiroa on the tow\ Repairs will not be costly, and. the cargo will be exempted from cost. OVERSEAS.
