. TO REMOVE INK STAINS FROM . SILVER. A paste of chloride of lime and water will be found useful for removing ink stains from silver or plated articles. It should be left for a short time and then washed off with warm water. GILT FRAMES AND ORNAMENTAL WOODWORK. Into one pint of water mix enough flowers of sulphur to give a deep yellowish tint, and boil this solution with two or three onions. Strain the liquid, apply it to the article to be cleaned, using a soft brush, and leave it to dry. Polish lightly with chamois leather.
