LONG SKIRTS FOR THE DUCHESS. There is no doubt about the popularity of the long skirt. The Duchess of York has become attracted by them, and has chosen some charming models of fluttering tulle, some of which are lightly touched with silver embroidery. A new hat in which she looks particularly pretty, says the writer, is a swathed shape, half turban, half beret. It is a misty blue-grey. Just the thing for her lovely blue-grey eyes. LAUGHING AT SUPERSTITION Green, so long pronounced the unlucky colour, is becoming a favourite one among London brides, and they are either dressing their “maids” in green or actually wearing the colour themselves. EXTRA WARMTH? Chiffon scarves accompany some of the new chiffon evening gowns, and are worn wound twice or thrice about the neck, giving a choker effect in striking contrast to the low-cut bodice.
