SHADED CANDLE LIGHTS
CONDUCTIVE TO CONVERSATION. Shaded candle-light is ideal for the dining table, because it is so flattering, and brings a sense of peace and reflection conductive to good conversation. It is wiser to buy only the beet candles for this purpose, which can be had in almost any colour. For the dining room the main lighting should be focusssed on the table, and this should be carefully shaded so that the diners’ faces are lighted from below, and their eyes are relieved from the glare.
