NAVY BLUE
HOW TO PRESERVE ITS COLOUR. Although navy blue is such a useful colour, it seems to collect as much dust and grease as possible, but a little care will soon counteract this trouble. A good stiff brush used well will dispel all the dust, and stains and grease generally yield to the judicious use of hot blotting paper. Ammonia is also very useful for banishing that “tired,” old, dusty look from a navy outfit. Dip a clean brush in a fairly strong (but not too strong) solution of ammonia, and brush the garment thoroughly. This also brings back the true colour, and eliminate'the faded appearance that go often makes navy clothes look shabby when they are really still very good and wearable.
