THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate northerly, changing to southerly soon. Weather, mild and cloudy conditions giving place to a cool change and isolated showers shortly. Dominion Meteorologist. The anti-cyclone to the eastward is at last moving rapidly away, A shallow depression is advancing on to the Dominion, and a new and intense anticyclone is now centred over Tasmania. Expect winds northerly, freshening somewhat, and backing to southerly soon in the south and over the remainder of the Dominion within 24 hours. Seas a considerable swell on the East Coast, but otherwise smooth to moderate. Weather mainly fair, but cloud increasing, and scattered showers developing in most districts, but more especially over the South Island. Temperatures becoming cooler, but indications of a further period of fine weather following.
