DISPUTE OVER FIRE STATION.
WELLINGTON BOARD AND COUNCIL. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 3. When the Fire Board took over the Brigade in 1926, the City Council asked it to vacate the Central Station. The Board demurred and objected to other sites proposed, on the ground that they were cramped or unsuitable in other respects. The dispute has been going on ever since, all attempts at an amicable solution having failed. The Board, by three to four, has row decided to force the matter into arbitration, as provided by law. Those v.ho voted against the sre representatives of the City Council on the Board.
