AUSTRALIA’S CROPS.
BENEFIT OF SPLENDID RAIN. (United P-ess Association—By SHectrl. Teleg-apb—Copyrlgbt ) SYDNEY, March 15. A splendid rain has fallen in the agricultural and pastoral areas of Australia during the past week. South Australia and Western Australia have received a good drenching in the early part of the week, since when Victoria and Tasmania, and now New South Wales have benefited more or less substantially. The wheat belt of Victoria reports a most encouraging, changed outlook, and stimulated business. The inland portions of New South Wales have not yet fared as generously as the coastal districts, which are getting a proper soaking, but indications are that the present disturbance is likely to extend over all parts o r the State.
