INHUMAN CRUELTY.
THREE YEARS IN DARK CELLAR. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 21, 8.2 p.m.) GENEVA, February 21. An amazing case of inhuman cruelty has been revealed in isolated village of Montsevlier, where a woman aged 30 was locked up for three years in a small dark cellar, which was indescribably foul and unheated. The unfortunate creature was clothed in a few rags, which had to be soaked in water before being cut off with scissors. She was the merest skeleton, her hair being quite grey. Scanty food was pushed through a small hole in the wall by her parents, who have been arrested.
