WEST END CLUB. The West End Swimming Club commenced their second series of races on Wednesday evening. The weather was , very cold and unfavourable, which unI doubtedly was responsible for only a i small number of spectators. However, competitors were as keen as ever, good entries being received for each event. Results were as follows: 100 Yards Senior Handicap.—L. Hunt 1, F. T. Thompson 2, D. E Elder 3. ' 50 Yards Junior Handicap.—First heat: I. Gillon 1, D. Elder 2. Time, 42 l-ssec. Second heat: M. Patterson 1, F. Thompson 2. Time, 42 2-ssec. Final: I. Gillon 1, M. Patterson 2. F. Thompson 3. Time, 423ec. 25 Yards Juvenile Handicap—Jack McMahon 1, E. Earwaker 2, F. Rolleston 3. Time, 23 3-ssec.
