THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate north-east; weather fair, and becoming warmer. Dominion Meteorologist. The cyclone is now moving away to the eastward of East Cape and an anti-cyclone is moving on to the Dominion. Expect winds south to south-east, still strong from Cook Strait northwards, but decreasing gradually; elsewhere light to moderate and later becoming variable. Seas rough about Cook Strait, and on the East Coast of the North Island, but moderating gradually; smooth to moderate elsewhere. Still some showers in north Auckland and in the East Cape and Gisborne districts, but improving; fine elsewhere, • temperatures cool to moderate.
