WOOL SALE.
SECOND OF SEASON The second wool sale of the season In Timaru will commence in the Theatre Royal at 4 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. The catalogue comprises 14,439 bales. The individual offerings by brokers in the order of selling, are as follow: Bales. N.Z. Loan Co., Ltd 800 Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd. .. 2,745 C.F.C.A., Ltd 3,005 N.M. and A. Coy, Ltd 4,771 Dalgety and Co., Ltd 3,118 Total , 14,439 Most of the buyers arrived from Dunedin yesterday, and to-day and to-morrow they will be busy examining the clips and assessing their values. It is hoped by growers that the lowest level of prices has been reached and that there may be a slight hardening on recent rates at the Dunedin sale on Wednesday. The prices realised were barely up to December rates, but were better than had since been ruling at other centres. Fully 75 per cent, of the offering was sold at auction. Extra super merino brought up to 16d, super to 13d; extra super fine halfbred to 155 d, super to 13id; super medium halfbred to 14d; super coarse halfbred to lid; super fine crossbred to lod; and super medium crossbred to lffd.
