CROQUET. A flag match which was played on the Geraldine croquet lawns between Geraldine and Highfield (C Grade) resulted in a win for -the home team. The scores were as follows (Geraldine names being mentioned first): —

CAMPBELL BOWLING CUP. . At the Geraldine Bowling Club's green, Mr M. G. was successful in annexing the Campbell Cup, defeating Mr Walker in the Anal by 32 (12) to 20 (14). Drake, postmaster at Otahuhu, and formerly of Geraldine, is at present visiting friends in the district. GENERAL NEWS. Satif factory progress is being made with tne erection of the two bluestone seats on the war* memorial site at Geraldine. No pictures will be screened at Geraldine to-night. The annual meeting of the Geraldine band will be held in the supper room of the Town Hall at 8 p.m. tc-morrow i evening. 1 Residents awoke to another wet day yesterday, but ‘conditions improved later in the day. CHASED BY BULL. Owing. to the fact that a bull had been left unattended on a public highway, two Geraldine girls had an un- | enviable experience on Tuesday after--1 noon. They were proceeding along a road in the vicinity of the Catholic Church, when they met an animal coming toward them, which made after them. The girls, took refuge in a nearby bush. The bull followed them until they were over the fence.
