CROQUET. A flag match which was played on the Geraldine croquet lawns between Geraldine and Highfield (C Grade) resulted in a win for -the home team. The scores were as follows (Geraldine names being mentioned first): —

CHASED BY BULL. Owing. to the fact that a bull had been left unattended on a public highway, two Geraldine girls had an un- | enviable experience on Tuesday after--1 noon. They were proceeding along a road in the vicinity of the Catholic Church, when they met an animal coming toward them, which made after them. The girls, took refuge in a nearby bush. The bull followed them until they were over the fence.
