THE WEATHER.
Mr F. L. Wooles. Wind moderate to fresh south to south-east; weather slightly unsettled but mainly fair. Dominion Meteorologist. A cyclone is still centred east-north-east of Cape Maria, and has intensified. There is little variation of pressure over the Tasman Sea, and Eastern Australia. Expect winds south to southeast to gale force at times about East Cape and the far north, and increasing elsewhere in the Auckland province; light to moderate in other parts, but freshening somewhat. Seas rough north of Napier; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Weather, rain in north Auckland and the East Cape and Gisborne district ar d extending southwards somewhat; otherwise fine over the Dominion.
