GLIDER CRASHES.
COLONEL LINDBERGH ESCAPES. (United Press Assoc)ptlon—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received February 4, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, February 3. A message from Sandberg (California) states that according to the latest reports, Colonel Lindbergh escaped from the smash of a glider which he v.'as testing on the mountains in that neighbourhood. Onlookers immediately despatched runners, who reported that the Colonel had not been injured in the crash. An aeroplane had tov/ed the glider from the Hillside, and released it in the face of high winds. The aileron was seen to fall, after which the glider crashed.
