FIRES.
DWELLING DESTROYED. By Telegraph—Praea JfcMoctatloa. WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. The seven-roomed residence of Mr C. A. Marcus, general manager of the Temperance and General Insurance Company, at 29 Orua Street, Rona Bay, was totally destroyed by fire shortly after four o’clock this afternoon. It was later discovered that a dog had perished in the flames. No one was home at the time of the outbreak, the cause of which is not known.
