Playing against Smith, Lindrum has scored 20,176, including breaks of 720, 426 and 603. Smith, in play, has scored 17,057, including 529, 330, and 613 unfinished. McConachy, who is in play, has scored 15,203, Including breaks of 413, and 235. Newman has scored 15,883, including breaks of 378, 575 and 342. Newman took the lead for the first time in the match with a brilliant 578, scoring 1399 in the afternoon, with an average of 101; while McConachy, who was off form, averaged only 38. The New Zealander, in the evening, made a fine 413, averaging 63, against Newman’s 61. Lindrum’s 603 is his fifty-third break of over 500 during the seven weeks, beating Smith’s record for the whole of last season. Davis, 1141 unfinished, is now 16,921, leading Falkiner, 15,871, to whom he conceded 3000.
