APPLICATIONS CLOSE THIS WEEK By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 27. August 31 has been fixed as the last day for lodging individual applications with the Central Earthquake Committee. St will take £350,000 to restore the roads; the Westport to Karamea road will require £120,000 and the Duller Gorge £IOO,OOO.
