The great American racehorse, his grand-dam St. Natalia, is half-sister tc the great mare La Sogesse, winner of Lincoln Stakes, Newmarket Stakes, Epsom Oaks, Derby Cup, and as his dam is, like Gloaming, a daughter of Eager, who also is the maternal grand sire of Paper Money. VALKYRIAN is a beautiful bred young horse, and also a winner in England. He met with a slight accident shortly after coming to New Zealand, and could not be trained her?. He has got plenty of size and good bone. He is making a great mark as a sire. His progeny have won 29 races, 84 placings this season. VALKYRIAN is the sire of Idun, Orewa, Leitrim, Red Sea, Whakariti: Wilmington, The Jack Jumper, Valkon, Vallar, Prince of Orange, Odin, Standfast. Valuation, all winners.
