NOTES. Coastal Movements. The Kawatiri is still in port loading /3r Auckland. She will sail via Lyttelton to-day. The Progress has been deferred till Friday. She will load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Port Waikato. The Holmdale, to load for Wellington and Wanganui, is expected from Oamaru next Thursday. The Corinna, due from Oamaru on Thursday, will load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth, via Lyttelton. The Karetu was scheduled to load at Sydney yesterday for Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. She is expected here about the end of August. The Kahika, to lift cargo for Napier and Gisborne, is set down to arrive here on September 3. The vessel will load at Auckland to-day for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. The vessel is due here about September 6. The Gale should be an arrival from Oamaru to-morrow, to load for Wellington. Picton and Wanganui, sailing via Wellington direct. The Breeze, to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganpi, should be an arrival here on Wednesday. The vessel will proceed via Lyttelton. The Kaitangata was scheduled to load at Melbourne yesterday for Hobart, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. She is due in Timaru early in September. Cargo for Wellington and Wanganui will be lifted at Timaru by the Calm on Thursday; the Storm next Monday; the Gale on September 6, and the Breeze on September 7. Overseas Shipping. The Northumberland is now expected to arrive to-morrow from Port Chalmers. She will load under the Federal Agency for London and West Coast ports of England, sailing for Lyttelton the following day. She will sail finally from Auckland on September 18. Another arrival to-morrow should be the Canadian Highlander, from Lyttelton. The vessel will discharge motor-cars, hardware and general Canadian cargo. She will lift wool and pelts for the return voyage, and will proceed hence to Boston, Montreal, and the United Kingdom, via Dunedin. The Tainui has been further deferred, and should now be an arrival next Monday. She will load frozen meat and general cargo for Home ports at Timaru, and will proceed hence to Lyttelton. The Hertford, from Liverpool, with coal for discharge at Timaru, is due from Port Chalmers next Sunday. The vessel will load Homeward from Australia. The Rimutaka, to load meat and general cargo for London, is expected at Timaru about September 5. The Pakipaki sailed from New York on July 30 for Timaru, via ports. The vessel is expected here from Lyttelton on September 19, to discharge general American cargo. She will sail for Dunedin the following day. The Narbada, from Calcutta; Singapore and Samarang, is expected' at Auckland on September 5. She will call at Timaru during September. The Canadian Britisher is scheduled to arrive at Timaru toward the end of September. The Karamea, to load for Home ports, is timed to arrive at Timaru from Hawke’s Bay on September 14 She will proceed to Port Chalmers. The Port Melbourne should arrive at Timaru about October 2, to load frozen meat and general cargo for London. She will sail finally from Wellington, about October 15 via Monte Video. The Matoppo sailed from New York on August 23, and is due at Timaru on October li. to discharge general cargo. She will proceed to Dunedin the following day. The Golden West will load at Pacific Coast ports of America during September, sailing finally from Los Angeles on October 1. The vessel is expected at Timaru, from Lyttelton on November 15, to discharge drum and case oil lumber and general cargo, and to load return cargo.
