SURGEONS CONFER.
FIGHT AGAINST DISEASE. (United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright.) HONOLULU. August 22. At the Surgery Conference, a discussion developed on the fact that heelfracture is widely prevalent in the United States, though infrequent in Australia. The surgeons could advance no scientific reason, though some suggested that it might be due to the absence of bootleg whisky in Australia, since this condition resulted most often from falls. Dr. James Jenkins, one of the New Zealand delegates, presented a technical paper on kidney and bladder surgery.
