A SEA-BLUE FROCK

AND PRINCESS JNGRID. Princess Ingrid dances as well as she dresses, which is saying much, writes a London authority. She opened the dancing after the carbaret show at the annual dinner of the Anglo-Swedish Society, held in London recently, at which the Crown Prince of Sweden, the Crown Princess, and Princess Ingrid were the quests of honour.

Princess Ingrid’s movements are full of a serene grace; she brings something of the charm of a waltz to the rhythm of the newest fox-trot. Her frock was of sea-blue tulle, tight fitting to the waist, then falling almost to her ankles in a cascade of frills. It had slightly dipping side panels, and a belt of plain blue tulle. Her shoes were silver-kid—very small shoes, with the new “spike” heel, and her stockings were peach-coloured silk.

She wore a long rope of pearls, wound three times round her throat, in one close loop, and two looser ones. She also wore one of the new bracelets of four or five rows of tiny pearls, and a square, dark ring, the stone set in silver.

I noticed that her finger-nails were tinted deep coral colour.
