CRIMINAL SESSION IN CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph- 'Press AasocLatlcwa. CHRISTCHURCH, August 22. Mr Justice Adams sentenced prisoners in the Supreme Court to-day as follows; Harold Petheran, guilty of mischief, was admitted to probation for two years, and ordered to pay costs of the prosecution, £B/10/-. James Joseph Thomas Morris, for theft of £4OO of his employer’s money, was sentenced to three years’ reformative treatment. For theft of a watch and chain, John Henry Percival Hagarty was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment. Adolphus James Curline, for indecent assault on a male, was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Edward James Dawson, for breaking, entering and theft, was sent to gaol for twelve months. TWO YEARS REFORMATIVE. CHRISTCHURCH, August 22. Far stealing £BBS Alfred Ernest Craddock (60), a former-land agent, was to-day sentenced to reformative treatment for two years, by Mr Justice Sim. BAG-SNATCHER SENTENCED. CHRISTCHURCH, August 22. For snatching a bag from a woman at the racecourse, and stealing a sum of money, Phillip Edward Fowler, a labourer, was sentenced to three months gaol by the Magistrate (Mr Young). Harold Hnrdgrave. alias King, alias Haigh, for the theft of £2 and false pietences, got 18 months gaol.
