PROTEST IN CHATHAM CUP GAME. By Telerraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 21. At to-night’s meeting of the Wellington Football Association, a letter was received from the Y.M.C.A. Club, which last Saturday sent a team to Auckland to play in the North Island final of the Chatham Cup against Tramways, protesting against Tramways playing J. Christie, whom they alleged was a suspended player from East Sterlingshire Football Club, Scotland, and asking that the match be awarded Y.M.C.A. The protest has been forwarded to Auckland.
