MINIATURE RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP. A championship meeting, open to Miniature Rifle Clubs in the Waimate district, was held in the Drill Hall last week under the auspices of the Waimate Rifle Club. Twenty teams entered, but owing to the flooded state of the roads, three were unable to be present. Thq individual and aggregate events drew 74 competitors, and some good scores were registered. The following were the results::— Teams’ Championship. Arno A., 386, £3/10/-. Hook A., 385, £2. Waimate A., Waimate 8., Willowbridge 8., Hunter A. each scored 384, and divided third and fourth prizes, taking 10/- each. Also competed—Studholme A. 383, Willowbridge A. 383, Morven 380, Hunter B. 380, Arno B. 377, Willowbridge C. 375, Hunter C. 373, Studholme B. 371, Waimate C. 361. Individual Match. J. Bruce, W. Fletcher and K. Wright, each with 80, tied, and divided first, second and third prizes. G. Thomas, W. Dickson, H. Hay man, C. Bennett, U. Riddle, C. Rollinson, B. Richardson, F. Saunders, R. Curtis, H. I Beattie all scored 79, taking 3/- each. Aggregate Match. K. Wright, first, took £l/10/-; J. Thomas and J. Bruce tied, dividing second and third money, taking 17/6 each; H. Trezise, fourth, 15/-; C. Rollinson, F. Saunders, C. Bennett, T. Koppett, W. Paterson, W. Fletcher, R. Curtis, F. Fletcher, E. Landridge, W. Henshaw all took 7/- each. GLENAVY CLUB.
